Hydrate Like a Pro: 2 Simple MKFIT Electrolyte Drink Recipes

Whether you’re smashing a workout, training in the heat, or just want to recover faster, electrolytes are your body’s secret weapon.

These essential minerals – sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium – keep your muscles firing, your heart beating steadily, and your hydration in check.

Today, I’m sharing two easy, all-natural electrolyte drink recipes you can make at home – one for training days and one for low-calorie everyday hydration.

🥥

MKFIT Citrus Electrolyte Refuel

(Training Days)

Ingredients (1 litre)

  • 750 ml cold water

  • 250 ml coconut water (natural potassium boost)

  • Juice of 1 lemon + 1 orange (vitamin C + flavour)

  • ¼ tsp sea salt (sodium & trace minerals)

  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (natural carbs for energy)

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a large bottle.

  2. Shake well until the salt dissolves.

  3. Chill in the fridge or pour over ice before training.

💡 Why it works: Replaces salt lost in sweat, boosts potassium, and gives you quick, natural energy from fruit and honey – perfect for workouts or hot weather.

🍋

MKFIT Electrolyte Light

(Low-Cal Everyday Option)

Ingredients (1 litre)

  • 900 ml cold water

  • 100 ml coconut water (optional – for potassium without many carbs)

  • Juice of ½ lemon or lime (flavour + vitamin C)

  • ¼ tsp sea salt (sodium & trace minerals)

  • A few drops of liquid stevia or monk fruit (optional, zero-calorie sweetener)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bottle.

  2. Shake until the salt dissolves.

  3. Drink chilled throughout the day or after light activity.

💡 Why it works: Keeps you hydrated and restores key minerals without the extra carbs – ideal for cutting phases, low-carb days, or evening hydration.

✅ Tip from MKFIT: Always taste-test your electrolyte mix – you might prefer a little more or less salt depending on how much you sweat and your activity level.
